Did Qin Shi Huangdi come to power because he was born into it?

Qin Shi Huangdi was born into being an emporo because his dad was king Zhuang Xiang of china. Qin Shi Huangdi's grandfather was also a king, his name was Duke Xiao. Also qin's oldest uncle Ankuo was ruler for one year until he died and then Zhuang Xiang(qin's dad) started rule.

How was Qin Shi Huangdi a mean ruler?

Qin Shi Huangdi thought that his changes made life better. Many people didn't like his ideas though, like burning books, so no one could read what they contain and get ideas to threaten Qin Shi Huangdi's power. He also made scholars turn in their books, but any scholar who didn't listen to him would be killed or punished.Qin Shi Huangdi had 460 scholars picked up and burned. Qin would send some scholars occasionally  to help build the great wall, to scare people. He also ordered thousands of prisoners, and other people, to build a HUGE tomb. Archaeologists believe that he also killed all the workers in the tomb, so they wouldn't give away the location of it.

What is the Terracotta Army and why did he build it?

The Terracotta army is a HUGE clay army! There are thousands of life-size soldiers, horses, and chariots in the army guarding Qin Shi Huangdi's grave. In 246 BCE the emperor ordered construction to make the clay soldiers. He ordered them to make it because he thought his body needed to be guarded when he was.To bad Qin Shi Huangdi died before the Terracotta army was finished.

Why was Qin Shi Huangdi so important?

Qin Shi Huangdi was important because he was a king and he was apart of a very high class. One of qin's most important projects was to organize the many different "lands" he ruled together, no matter what he had to do. He also forced many rich and powerful families from each of the warring states to be moved to a palace to be more easily ruled.I don't think would be to happy if a were those  families.Would you?Qin also helped have a lot of tourism in present day China because of the Great Wall of China and the Terracotta army.
